i laid in the flowers and
i listened to them hum,
i think i loved your hands
the most, even when they
flayed me to the bone
and i don't think i'm
supposed to talk about -
the devil, he said i've
lived one hell of a life,
you see, just read my
name out backwards,
and god ain't nothing
but a dog, so don't you
even go wasting your time
(i left my conscience pining outside the door)
...I couldn't help but try saying "sgnulkoa" during the last stanza..
Me trying to do that ruined the moment.
Yes, just yes. I wish I could write like you.
your brilliance gives me the tinglies.
Oh my...someone imform CIA,i think we have evil genious overhere.
This just reminds me of how hard it can be to confront yourself and force yourself to realize that sometimes the things that you love also destroy you. But you just can't help it.
you... are a genius
So beautifully confronting.
wow you are a truly amazing poet my friend
I never realised that god backwards would be dog
Aside from that really good poem
like this a lot.
lived > | < devil
god > | < dog
don't believe all the lies you hear please,
I tried that once....
look where it got me.
hands flaying... lol
i did that too im like ok...
how do i know what's a lie and what isn't?
Lies are contrary to what is taught,
the wonderful living word.
Know that you are a child once bought,
on Calvary's Cross, death spurned.
All will take, but some receive,
the love so freely given.
Call, He'll save and not deceive,
No one will cast you riven.
And apps are nice... they have a quick concordance.
Your poems are so wonderful...please never stop sharing them with us...
Amazing as all ways c:
i don't understand why poems like these don't get submitted to your gallery, this is perfect.
i feel like my journals are more like rambly thoughts
"the devil, he said i've lived one hell of a life, you see, just read my name out backwards."
That's intense. Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, 'life is a living hell.'
Oh, this is wonderful.
